Bay Area seniors with even the slightest interest in landscaping know that gardens don’t get more whimsical than the one in Berkeley that Marcia Donohue created starting back in the early 70’s. Along with Mark Bulwinkle (his elegantly goofy silhouetted metal sculptures dot the East Bay) she has filled her small garden with an assortment of wildly inventive pieces using found materials, that crawl along the ground and soar into the sky. Someone should give this artist a major park to play in. Have a look here.
