Bay seniors and their grandkids are invited to lift their eyes to skies filled with wildly colorful, unbelievably enormous “creatures” at the annual Berkeley Kite Festival. Circle the dates, July 30 & 31 from 10 am to 5 pm at Cesar Chavez Park in the windblown Berkeley Marina. In the past the Geezer has seen flying schools of fish, gigantic butterflies, kite fights and what appeared to be an enormous Persian carpet. Awesome. Amazing. Free.
