Ask any Bay senior who has ever volunteered to serve or deliver meals on Christmas. They’ll all tell you how hugely rewarding an experience it is. In San Francisco, Glide once again is throwing a luncheon on December 24 with 2,000 pounds of protein from the House of Prime Rib. The feasting continues all day Christmas Day. In fact, your help would be gratefully appreciated any time of the year. The Salvation Army needs some foot soldiers to deliver 5,000 meals to the homebound in the city. In the East Bay, Marin and the Peninsula there are a number of organizations who would really appreciate your pitching in. Google your neighborhood to see where you are wanted and needed this holiday.
