Bay seniors, like everyone else around here, have long puzzled over the mystery of why Marin County is the Bermuda Triangle of dining. Residents are wealthy, well-travelled and food-loving. Their Farmer’s Market in San Rafael is a winner. But even the Geezer’s latest foray to Le Garage in Sausalito was disappointing. So with great pleasure I am delighted to announce that what may be the Bay Area’s best hamburger is being served at the new Hawk’s Tavern in Mill Valley, a gastropub (one of the most stomach turning words in foodie vocabulary) whose menu has been “curated” by the ubiquitous Tyler Florence. You are strongly advised not to leave without trying their sticky toffee pudding.
