Bay seniors get an extra helping of history at the Golden Gate’s Fort Point this month. Though this Civil War era fortification is best known as the site of Kim Novak’s fling into the Bay in Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”, you can see go back further in time on January 28 when Civil War re-enactors descend on it for a day of martial celebration from 10 am to 5 pm. For a darker take on the Fort’s past  there is a candle light tour (no flashlights, please)on January 7 from 6:30 to 8pm. Both events are free.
