Bay seniors generally have to be dragged kicking and screaming to Fisherman’s Wharf but you might get less hysterical with a visit there to the Boudin Sourdough Museum. Did you know the first loaves were baked here back in 1849? Even with all the burgeoning local bakery competition of the last few years Boudin has stuck successfully to its famous sourdough recipe. You can watch demonstrating bakers in action here and  stroll through interactive exhibits. Open everyday except Tuesday 11:30-6. If you’re still reluctant to brave the Wharf crowds you can always have your Boudin delivered right to your door.
