Bay seniors have great resources for entertaining/educating their digital grandkids. This Saturday July 7, for example, East Bay Parks is inviting everyone to Crab Cove in Alameda to learn more about mud than just recipes for mud pies. You’ll explore the bathhouse aquarium, then tromp through the surrounding mudflats. It’s from 10:30 to 11 am and free. Bring galoshes and towel. Check out the bizarre range of activities on the East Bay Parks website like insect scavenger hunts, peach marmalade classes, goats grooming and bat monitoring.
