Bay seniors curious to know what the area’s original locavores called dinner might want to sign up for a class in Native California acorn cuisine. It’s another inventive event from East Bay Regional Parks, being held on Sunday Dec.9 from 10-4. You’ll learn to work with cracking stones, mortar, pestle, winnowing and sifting baskets and stone boiling in a cooking basket. Demonstrations of how to make these recipes in your own kitchen will also be included. Seniors $25, Registration required.
