Bay seniors with a cosmic perspective might appreciate the celebration going on this weekend at Muir Woods in honor of the winter solstice. The program is brief – after all this is the shortest day of the year (and the longest night) – with music, interpreters, storytelling and the usual hordes of stately redwood trees. It will be held at the Muir Woods Visitors Center from noon to 5. Free.
The Geezer abjectly apologizes to all his atheist friends for omitting to mention that last week was the San Francisco Atheists Winter Solstice Celebration. Will try to do better next year.
