Bay seniors, even those who consider themselves Anglophiles, have a tepid relation to tea. Unless it is punched up with fruit and herbs it is just hot water. More satisfying the Geezer has found is fresh mint tea. Avoid the dried version. Grow a fresh patch of them in a pot. Don’t bother chopping the mint. You can muddle it then just let it soak in hot water until it turns golden. Of course when summer eventually hits it makes a bracing iced tea. What more is there to say about tea? Plenty. The 2nd Annual SF International Tea Festival heats up this Sunday in the Ferry Building. $20.
