Bay seniors have another reason to love Dogpatch, way out on Third Street beyond ATT Park. This Saturday the new museum of Craft and Design opens there with 4,000 square feet of exhibition and workshop space. Don’t expect to find Etruscan urns. MOCAD (I just made that up. Doesn’t every cultural institution need an acronym?) is all contemporary work from our Burning Man era. Opening exhibits include Arline Fisch’s textile jellyfish, Michael Wood’s metal and wood fantasies and Rebecca Hutchinson’s porcelain and paper garden. Seniors are just $6.
