Bay seniors don’t want to hang around the kitchen on hot summer days. Who does? The absolutely simplest, most refreshing snack/ dessert you can make is just to buy a bounty of summer fruits and freeze them. My preference is for jumbo grapes and bananas. But you use almost anything – melon, apples, cherries, strawberries. You don’t even need a spoon or fork. Frozen food is the ultimate finger food. The only caveat is that they tend to lose flavor after a few days in the freezer.
