Bay seniors who like to keep up with the newest area wineries are encouraged to visit one of the oldest. In fact, Buena Vista, five minutes from the Sonoma plaza is the oldest in California. Built in 1857 by an eccentric self-proclaimed count it has been impeccably restored by a visionary Frenchman. Interestingly they offer tastings straight from the barrels in their caves for $35. Historic tours are $20.
