tankBay seniors who could not make it to the Venice Biennale to see Lisa Freiman’s spot on piece of Americana, a “sculpture “ of a jogger running atop an upside down tank, will have a chance to hear what it was all about when the artist speaks at the SF Art Institute on October 7. She is only one of a long series of presentations this fall at the venerable art school on Chestnut Street. Free but reservations suggested. The Spanish colonial campus is always worth a visit for its Bay views, its Diego Rivera mural and the unexpected scent of oil paint in the air.
