Bay seniors strolling the waterfront might want to check out the cleanup on the 17 murals recounting California history at Rincon Center. Created in the early 40’s when it was still a post office it’s hard to believe they were nearly destroyed during the later anti-communist hysteria. It’s also quite surprising that they were done in watercolor. Free tours are offered. Stroll further to the water’s edge just south of the Ferry Building and let me know what you think about the silvery serpent-spider web-whatchamacallit that is a shining example of fantasy Burning Man style.
