bridgeBay seniors are pretty much in consensus about the dazzling nightly display of LED lights on the Bay Bridge (though I know one curmudgeon who calls it “a giant screen saver”). It was never scheduled to be more than a temporary event but its popularity has motivated the city, state and private citizens to fund it as a permanent display. If you’re interested in joining a kickstarter campaign check in with ITA (Illuminate the Arts) and see how you can help. Speaking of lights I’m always wondering why those giant art deco searchlights in the plaza in front of the Ferry Building are never turned on. Anyone have information about them?
