elksBay seniors may be getting used to seeing coyotes in Golden Gate Park but perhaps the closest site to meet a veritable wild zoo of fauna is Pierce Ranch at Pt. Reyes. This historic dairy farm, first built in 1858, is a 70-minute trip to and from the Bear Valley Center. Because of its isolation and relatively small number of noisy human visitors, it is possible to follow the game trails and track herds of elk not to mention deer, bobcats, foxes and mountain lions, oh my.
