Bay seniors eager to take the chill off winter might want to consider making their own ramen. I’m not talking about throwing packaged noodles in the microwave. Ramen is a refined art in Japan and increasingly so here at places like Nombe, the izakaya in the Mission. On Saturday January 11 at 2pm, they are holding a class in making the four types of ramen focusing on the all-important stock and various ingredients including soy marinated eggs. $80 per person. Over the next months classes will be held in sushi, saki pairings, even a ramenburger.
