trainBay seniors who have wondered why Marin never had BART should know that it once did. Kind of. The Northwestern Pacific Railroad ran from Tiburon to Eureka until 1967 and its tracks are part of the long-fantasized BART extension. For more information visit the Railroad and Ferry Museum in Tiburon. The ground floor includes a detailed HO-scale model of the town of Tiburon circa 1900 and background on the ferries that ran from San Francisco. Upstairs is the Depot House Museum which recreates the stationmaster’s house. It reopens in April, Wednesday to Sunday.
