Bay seniors in their continuing refusal to stay seated in their rocking chairs are taking up the sport of pickleball, a cross between tennis and ping pong. The rackets are larger, the balls are slower and the nets are lower. It was one of the sports that kicked off this year’s Bay Area Senior Games which run until May 24 in the South Bay. If you’d like to try it yourself check in with the Bay Area Pickleball Alliance. For even less strenuous exercise try the Subpar Miniature Golf in Alameda where the holes are themed around SF landmarks.
