booksBay seniors who want to support Berkeley’s efforts to bolster its cultural credentials might consider checking out the Book Fest there this weekend. All day long Saturday and Sunday there are dozens of lectures and discussions on everything from Nordic noir to Michael Chabon’s marriage. I’m particularly curious about film critic David Thomson on acting, literateuse Wendy Lesser on why we read and staged readings of a new play by the mighty Barry Gifford. Most events appear to be free.
