Bay seniors watching their flowers die and their water bills rise during this unprecedented drought might want to check around for classes that will help save their gardens with water-wise plantings. The SF Public Utilities Commission offers a drought garden workshop at 1 pm on Saturday October 10th at 7th and Lawler in the City. It’s free. Most nurseries around here have a good selection of drought resistant plants these days. One that has specialized in them for years is the Dry Garden in Berkeley.
