May we suggest for the minimally athletic a bracing round of horseshoes? There’s a pit waiting for you at the northeast tip of Golden Gate Park. Built from rock in the 20’s, it boasts concrete reliefs hewn by the WPA. Forgotten and overgrown for years but now available for all citizenry to relive their summer camp exploits. If you want to see serious players check the SF Horseshoe Pitching website for their schedule of tournaments. Open from 5am to midnight. Free.
