Just when you thought the only signs of nature were the dead, wet leaves pasted on your sidewalk, the SF Botanical Garden comes up with a spectacular show of blossoming magnolias. There are nearly 100 of them, some reaching 80 feet high. Unless more storms blow them away you should be dazzled by silvery pink, magenta and white blossoms, which do not just bloom on Southern plantations, until early March. Check for docent tours. Free for all SF residents. Seniors $6.
