When Egyptologist Howard Carter unearthed a Pharaoh’s tomb back in 1922 he would never imagined the world would still be caught up in ancient Nile fantasies almost 100 years later but this Friday, Saturday and Sunday there is yet another celebration honoring that long ago dusty kingdom. The 29th annual King Tut Festival at the St.Antonius Coptic Church in Hayward is inviting you to a three day Egyptian village ¬†where mostly native folk will be making music, food (shish kabob, kofta, felafel, desserts) and crafts. Stuff for kids, too, like a bounce house and face painting. Admission is free after you RSVP.
