College classrooms are not the only way to continue your advanced education. Every year Humanities West presents thoughtful, articulate cultural events in the City. For their 2018-19 season they do offer musical performances (like Borodin and Tchaikovsky at the Commonwealth Club) and over at the Marines Memorial downtown you can take a seat and be regaled on subjects like a celebration of Leonardo Da Vinci’s 500 years of celebrity, democracy as it was first practiced in ancient Greece and even the questionable artistic fervor of Russia’s late Czarist period. Currently subscriptions for the lecture series are available for what looks like $165 (on a slightly confusing website).
