Quiet, uncrowded, private. The Pier 24 Photography galleries demonstrate one of the City’s most personal art experiences. This year is its 10th anniversary and two hugely impressive retrospectives run there until April 30. You won’t have to elbow your way through crowds in the portraiture rooms or other showings of over 50 significant photographers including Arbus, Avedon and Sugimoto because admissions are limited to a few people who make advance appointments. On top of that, it’s free.
