Muir Woods may not be as amicable as you thought. The northern spotted owl has been inhabiting this environment for years but a newly arrived species, the barred owl, may present a potential threat. Who will triumph? On July 27 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm there will be a 5-mile amble (partially up a steep hill) and lecture to discuss this critical issue. Reservations are required. The price is part of the Park’s $14 entry fee.
