Who will remember us after we’ve gone? If we were Mexican it wouldn’t be a problem. Every year from October 31 to November 2, our neighbors to the south welcome back the spirits of their deceased relatives. Day of the Dead, originally an Aztec event, is now celebrated widely in California with parades, feasts and macabre costumes. This weekend you can participate in the event at Mission Dolores, San Jose, San Rafael, in fact just about anywhere around here. It is a more spiritual version of Halloween.
