Northern Elephant Seals are massive – from 800 to 5,000 pounds. They once abandoned the Northern California coast but returned in the 80’s and hang out now, among other places, at Point Reyes. These colonies keep growing. Cetaceans like this live approximately 9 years. On February 25 at the Bay Model in San Francisco you can find out more about them at a lecture from 7 to 9pm. Free but donations requested.
